When you first log into the site, you will be presented with a Login prompt. This is the same username and password utilized for the Cost to Complete Estimate website. If you are unsure of your password, contact Sang Yoo at the following address: syoo@njrati.org. Once logged in, you will be presented with what should be a familiar table layout default to your state. In the case of the ARC, a drop-down list appears at the top allowing selection of a given state. The default for this case is Alabama, as it is first alphabetically.

As you can see, the format is almost identical to the spreadsheet used in previous years, with the following exceptions:

1)       The “To Section” column was removed as it was redundant, simply displaying the section ID of the section that appears below it in the listing.

2)       An additional column, “Note”, appears on the far right. This simply denotes that some information was input with regard to a particular section.

3)       An additional column appears to the far left. This is how a particular section is selected to edit the information or see the annotation information.

The numbers at the bottom indicate the pages of the table for the state and can be switched at will. Totals mileages for individual corridors and the state as a whole are listed at the end of the appropriate listing of sections. When a change is made, the previous status/mileage is indicated in italics within parenthesis and the new status/mileage is bolded.

Below are two screenshots of the dialog that will when a section is selected. The first shows the typical situation, where an entire section is just one status. All sections default as existing unless otherwise is indicated. This can be changed, but in general this field will likely rarely be of consequence. Generally one will simply change the status in the drop-down, optionally leave a note and hit ok.

If the section’s status needs to be described in two pieces then select the split option. This will change the dialog to that displayed in the second screenshot. This dialog is the one that will appear by default for sections that are already described by two statuses. It allows you to indicate how many miles to allocate to each status using +/- buttons next to each field. When doing so these fields enforce the correct total mileage of the section. Mileage can be entered manually but doing so will bypass the enforcement of the correct total mileage and in such a case, accuracy of total miles is the responsibility of the user. Again, a note can be input and the ok button will apply the changes.
