Directions to our Hotel Traveling 75/85 South:
Exit at 249A
(Courtland Street). This is a one way street and the hotel
is one block ahead on your left.
Traveling 75/85 North:
Exit at 249B (Peachtree Street). At first light, turn right
on Peachtree Street. Next light, turn left on Ralph McGill
Blvd. Next light, right on Courtland Street. The hotel is
one block on your left.
Traveling from East/West I-20:
Take 75/85 North and follow directions for 75/85 North.
From the Airport by
the Subway (MARTA)
Take the train north and exit at Peachtree
Center Station. Take the Harris Street escalator or follow
the directions for Peachtree Center Mall. You will go up a
very steep escalator into the Mall. Take the walkway from
the Mall to the parking garage & Peachtree Center Athletic
Club. Take the elevator to the street. The hotel is on your
right when you exit the garage.
From GA 400 (ADHS
Corridor A)
Follow GA 400
South to I-85 South. Follow 85 south and take exit 249A
(Courtland St). This is a one way street and the hotel is
one block ahead on the left.
Parking Restrictions in the Garage: Max height=6 feet.

Subject: GIS Workshop Announcement Update
Hi Everyone,
Due to the recent inception of pursuing the 2007 ADHS Cost to Complete Estimate
which ARC and FHWA are working in an early planning stage, we are announcing
here to postpone the schedule of our ADHS GIS Training Workshop so that these
events can be combined and coordinated. In addition, based on overwhelming
suggestions from the States and time pressure for the 2007 Cost Estimate, the
GIS project team has entered a new agreement with the ARC to move forward with
Phase II of the project.
This Phase will create a web-based GIS environment for access and update the
ADHS Cost Estimate. Therefore, there will be no need for training on the
stand-alone system at this time. Currently, FHWA remains under
TEA-21 extension, which causes funding problems that includes traveling.
We will notify you of the training dates and traveling once we get the combined
plan confirmed and the travel funds are in place.
One of the major purposes of having the previously planned workshop was to get
your feedback and suggestions to the GIS system. As the Phase II project
proceeds, we will definitely need your feedback and advice as well. To
accomplish the Phase II stage, we would like to form an ADHS GIS User Advisory
Group and to seek volunteers from you. The members of the advisory group are
expected to have limited travels (most likely to Huntington, WV or Washington,
D.C.) during the upcoming 3 months.
Individuals with past ADHS Cost Estimate experience are preferred.
